2000 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 replica by D&R Replicars that has not been completed. This is one of the last kits produced by D&R before they went out of business. The D&R body kits are widely known to be among the best available. These fiberglass 6.0 kits sold for $15,000 when they were still available. This is a great deal for someone who is looking for a unique project, or someone who just wants to own an exotic car for a reasonable price. We have invested a lot of time and money to complete many of the most difficult parts of the build. All of the major fabrication has been completed. The body has been fitted to the chassis and is fully supported by tubular steel framework. It has not been permanently attached, so it can still be removed for easy access to the chassis and drive train. All hinge points are backed up with steel plates and mounted to the chassis, not just hung on the fiberglass body. The door hinges are the high quality billet aluminum hinges provided by D&R and the latches are from Mercedes, just like the ones used on an authentic Diablo. The power window motors and tracks have been installed, and are ready to accept the tempered glass windows that are included. The outer door skins still need to be bonded on, they have been left off until the inner workings of the doors are fully installed and tested. The windshield wiper motor and linkage has been installed. The headlights are mounted to the chassis on adjustable brackets and they can be removed for servicing or replacement without removing the body. The front hood and rear engine covers are installed, hinged and latched. The outer skins of the engine covers need to be bonded on. The body is complete, and includes the full fiberglass interior kit and seat shells. No upholstry has been done. A modern tilt and telescopic steering column is installed. It has electric power steering that has not been hooked up.
The chassis is tubular steel over a 1988 Fiero pan. The front suspension is a widetrack system from HT Motorsports with tubular upper and lower control arms, Carrera adjustable coil-over shocks, and drop spindles. The rear suspension uses KYB coil-over struts and custom fabricated uprights with Corvette hubs. All bushings, ball joints, and bearings are new. The brakes are 13” Corvette drilled and slotted rotors with Wilwood four piston forged Dynalite calipers and mechanical single piston parking brake calipers. The wheels are authentic 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago 18x8.5 front and 18x13 rear with Pirelli P-Zero 245/35-18 front and 335/30-18 rear tires in very good condition. The suspension has been designed to fit these wheels with no wheel adapters or spacers. This car is set up with the perfect stance and wheel sizes to make it look "right". Ride hieght can be fine tuned on all four corners by adjusting the coil-over springs.
The engine in the car is a BMW M70 5.0 liter V12 mated to an Audi Getrag 016 five speed transaxle using a custom aluminum adapter. The engine has been installed for mock-up and there is currently no clutch installed. The engine wiring and ECUs are included but not installed. Included with the car is a complete spare V12 engine taken from a running car, guaranteed good. Also included are all gaskets and seals needed to reseal one engine as well as some tune-up parts including distributor caps, rotors, spark plugs. Our intent was to overhaul the spare engine and install it in the car. The engine that is currently in the car is assumed good, but has not been tested. A second Audi transaxle is also available. Two custom aluminum radiators are installed in the back of the car with electric cooling fans. A high performance electric fuel pump has been installed. The exhaust system has been completed. It is made entirely from 304L mandrel bent stainless steel tubing and includes Magnaflow stainless catalytic converters and mufflers. The polished stainless steel exhaust tips are near perfect replicas of the original 6.0.
The fiberglass body has some wrinkles in the gelcoat. It looks quite bad in some areas, but these are simply surface defects that were caused by too much heat in the mold, and can be easily repaired by sanding and filling. The body is structurally solid. It is not a perfect body, but the overall shape and panel fitment is superior to most. Some parts are not shown in the pictures, but they are included in the sale. We are also including two new OEM front turn signal lights, two OEM tail lights, a replica dashboard warning indicator light strip, replica button switch graphics, billet fuel door, lots of BMW parts, and other parts that we've collected for the project. We also have a clean title for the '88 Fiero as well as a copy of the BMW donor title.
This is not a complete car. It is being sold as a project car. It cannot be driven, it will need to be towed. Any transport arrangements must be made by the buyer. We will assist in loading the car for transport. I strongly recommend seeing the car before bidding so you know exactly what you are getting. We started this project to promote our business, but we are too busy with customer work to complete this build for ourselves. We will be available to finish the car for you to any stage you desire, including complete turnkey, for a reasonable hourly rate. We know people who are active in the kit car industry. We are in contact with the former owner of D&R and we have access to any and all parts and information needed to complete the car. I have 100% positive feedback and nothing to hide, so if you have any questions please just ask.
THIS IS A SPECIALLY CONSTRUCTED VEHICLE BUILT FROM PARTS OF ONE OR MORE DONOR VEHICLES! IT CAN BE REGISTERED IN PA AS A FIERO, OR AS A SPECIALLY CONSTRUCTED VEHICLE/KIT CAR. I HAVE A CLEAN PA TITLE FOR THE FIERO THAT WAS USED TO BUILD THE CHASSIS, AND A PHOTOCOPY OF THE TITLE FOR THE BMW 750IL THAT THE ENGINE CAME FROM. I DO NOT KOW THE LAWS OF EVERY STATE, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE PURCHASER TO DETERMINE WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION IN HIS OWN STATE.
Please contact me with any questions prior to bidding.

Here's a partial list of what needs to be completed:
We are available to complete any or all of the above for you.
Here’s a partial list of what's included, some of it has been installed and some has not:
We are asking $20,000 for the car in it's current condition. There is over $20,000 invested in parts, not including the D&R kit or labor for the work that has already been done. These cars regularly sell for $60,000-$80,000 when properly completed with V8 engines. The V12 engine in this car gives it the look and sound of a real Lamborghini without the high initial outlay and continuous maintainence costs.
