This is my Mustang chassis dynamometer that I use for tuning and simulated road testing. It allows me to test nearly every part of a new engine swap (cooling system, transmission and driveline, etc.) without the risks that come with an actual road test. The dyno has a mechaincal inertia of 2000 pounds as well as a power absorber for simulating loads like hills and wind resistance. The power absorber is essential for driveability tuning. The dyno is able to measure power, limited to about 300whp because of the relatively small diameter rollers and the resulting traction limitations.
