This kit is used to convert your existing rear struts to adjustable coil-overs. The kit includes threaded sleeves and adjusters, springs, top hats, polyurethane bushings and spring seat pads. You will need to remove the stock lower spring seats from the struts by cutting or grinding the welds on the strut body. Struts are not included. Please specify desired spring rate. The stock rear spring rate is approximately 225-250 pounds. We normally stock 275 and 325 pound springs. The 275 pound springs are enough to compensate for most engine swaps, the 325 pound springs should be used in heavier swaps and/or when a firmer ride is desired. We can supply any spring rate in 25 pound increments. Spring rates above 350 pounds are not recommended for KYB or stock replacement struts.
Note: The coil springs are retained to the hats when jacking the car, the springs will not fall out of place or need repositioning after raising the car. The correct size threaded studs are welded in place like OEM for ease of assembly. Other designs use a large steel tube to keep the spring aligned which may cause noise and wear as the spring's coils rub on the steel. Our design uses polyurethane seats to assure that no moving coils will contact a metal surface.
