This module is used to replace the original GM Vehicle Anti-Theft System PASS-Key module and resistor key. The module will generate a PASS-Key, Pass-Key II, or VTD fuel enable signal for the ECM. The module will not bypass the starter interrupt that is present on some vehicles, and will not provide any anti-theft protection. The primary use for this item is for engine swaps or when repair/replacement costs for the OEM system are cost prohibitive. The most common symptom of PASS-Key lockout is when the engine will repeatedly start and run for about 1 second and then shut off. This unit will work for most GM engines up to about 1995 and some newer engines including the 3.8 and 3800, 3.4 TDC/DOHC, Cadillac 4.5, 4.9, and early Northstar, Chevy TPI, LT1, LS1 and others. It will not work for the newer PASS-Key III and CTD systems. Please contact us with the year, make and model of the vehicle that your ECM/PCM is from and we will determine if this module will work for you, and give you the specific pin number that it gets connected to.
